  • Dead machine: If the machine does not show any sign of connected power supply...
    • Check that battery poles plus(+) and minus(-). The machine is reverse battery polarity protected so it will not be damaged, but It will not start.

    • When turning on machine with the emergency stop switch there should be a metallic klick sound when switch is about half way out. It is not the sound of the plastic outer part, but from the switch inside. If no klick sound can be heard there is a chance that the switch is not working.

  • Blank display: If the keyboard LED litts up, but the display (lcd screen) is blank (does not show anything)..
    • The firmware in Ex does fit in 3 products. But the firmware (software) needs to know which product it's in. This is not automatically detected. It is manually set by the user by choosing mode which there are two.
      • RC4 mode: This is the mode to choose for the 4 button Remote Control. To choose this mode Press and hold the AUTO button, and same time press and hold the UP button for a few seconds.

        Some signes of wrong mode:
If a RC4 is set to EX/RC12 mode, the Blue, Yellow and Red LED's will flash fast and seemingly uncontrolled and the backligth of the 4 buttons will not litt.

      • EX/RC12 mode: This is the mode for t Remote Control with 12 buttons and also for the BJ5000EX machine.

        Some signes of wrong mode:
If a EX machine or RC12 is in RC4 mode, the display will not show any text or graphics and the display background is not working (black). If the display is black, try change to EX/RC12 mode. This is done by press and hold the AUTO button, and then also same time press and hold the STOP button for a few seconds. Start with pressing the AUTO button before pressing the STOP button.

Note that when changing mode the network settings are erased and needs to be set again.                 OnYoutube there is a video clip that shows how to switch mode.
